In 2011 I decided to leave a business analyst position to work odd jobs while in search of my passion or gift in life. While learning different trades I was facing trials with my health and finances. I was looking to work independently, and something caught my attention which was weekly swimming pool maintenance. I married my wife Maria in 2014 and soon after that my swimming pool career took off. An opportunity opened in Houston for me to work for a top ten pool builder as a pool construction supervisor. We prayed daily for God to reveal His plan for our lives as I moved forward to learn a whole new trade in pool construction. I trained with one of their best construction supervisors who had many years of experience as a civil engineer. After five months of training, I started managing my own pool projects and during that time I was able to build sixty of the nicest pools in the Houston area within a two-year period. I graduated with a degree in Finance and finally I felt like I found my calling, building swimming pools and other outdoor projects.

After two years working in Houston, my wife Maria, being a Real Estate Agent in the Washington County area, understood the market well enough to know that Brenham needed a quality pool builder. So, we prayed to sell our first home to start the pool business. Maria who is a native from El Salvador believed in the American dream that with sacrifice, perseverance, and our faith in Christ, we could accomplish the impossible.

In 2017, we launched Cool Wave Pools. Maria set aside her real estate practice to focus on our office procedures, organizing contracts, billing, receivables, and licensing for all pool projects. With Maria by my side encouraging and believing in me, I was able to focus on the work that needed to be done in the field.

We can now look back and see how far we have come with God’s help. Cool Wave Pools is going strong because of the mentoring and training I received from the absolute best in the pool industry. Our passion is to build beautiful quality swimming pools for our clients to enjoy with their families and friends while building memories for a lifetime.
